About
Widiarso is a freelance documentary photographer and videographer based in Indonesia. He won first place in the 2009 National Geographic Indonesia International Photography Contest (IPC) – Category: Places.
He began his career in 1997 at the Canon Photography School in Jakarta with his first legendary camera, the Canon A1. To further hone his technical skills, he also completed a Cinematography course at the Usmar Ismail Film Center.
His favorite subjects are landscapes and culture, often traveling to remote areas to capture the essence of serenity, beauty, authenticity, and cultural preservation. When not traveling, he spends his time in his mini-studio.
