Bogor never fails to live up to its nickname as the Rain City
Located about 60 kilometers south of Jakarta, Indonesia’s capital, this satellite city offers a visual escape that contrasts with the surrounding metropolitan atmosphere.
That evening, after the gray clouds poured out their entire burden, Bogor Station and its surrounding areas left behind the thick scent of wet soil under the remaining dim twilight sky.
The asphalt roads, the railings of the pedestrian overpass, and even the train tracks transformed into natural mirrors, reflecting vehicle lights and the footsteps of urban commuters.
Every corner of the city seemed to slow down, providing a magical visual pause for anyone who chose to stop for a moment and observe.
For some people, rain might be considered a travel hindrance or a source of complication amidst busy activities.
However, from behind the lens, the remnants of water drenching this city actually bring a meaning of cleansing and a new tranquility a moment where the city’s hustle and bustle is forcibly dampened by nature.
The rain leaves behind small, intimate stories in puddles that capture the reflection of life, water droplets hanging on iron fences, to the silhouettes of people walking, proving that there is always beauty left behind after the storm subsides.
