This journey began at exactly 4:21 AM, a time when the platforms of Tanah Abang Station were still chilled and dimly lit by flickering neon lights. Through this photo series, I wanted to share the atmosphere of an early morning commute along the rail line to Rangkasbitung—a visual record capturing the transition from the deep shadows of dawn until the sun fully breaks at 8:00 AM.
There is a profound meaning in the stillness and silence found during these hours. Behind the usual roar of the train tracks, there is a pause where everything feels more honest; this silence isn’t emptiness, but rather a space to breathe. In the fading moonlight and the soft glow creeping through the carriage windows, these moments offer a brief reflection before the world becomes loud again with the footsteps of those chasing time.
This visual sequence is intentionally curated to highlight the small details often overlooked in the rush of the day—from the sharp reflections on the clean carriage floors to the quiet, undisturbed corners of the station captured through the lens.
